Ulangan 32:24

32:24 They will be starved by famine,

eaten by plague, and bitterly stung; ¹ 

I will send the teeth of wild animals against them,

along with the poison of creatures that crawl in the dust.

[32:24]  ¹ tn The Hebrew term קֶטֶב (qetev) is probably metaphorical here for the sting of a disease (HALOT 1091-92 s.v.).

[32:2]  ² tn Or “mist,” “light drizzle.” In some contexts the term appears to refer to light rain, rather than dew.

[20:1]  ³ tn Heb “and it was at the time of the turning of the year, at the time of the going out of kings.”

[51:19]  ⁴ tc The Hebrew text has אֲנַחֲמֵךְ (’anakhamekh), a first person form, but the Qumran scroll 1QIsa^a reads correctly יִנַחֲמֵךְ (yinakhamekh), a third person form.
