Kampung nabi Mikha (Mi 1:1; Yer 26:18) dekat daerah Filistin Gat (Mi 1:14), hampir pasti Tell ej-Judeieh modern, 32 km sebelah barat daya Yerusalem, 10 km timur laut Lakhis. Kota ini (Mi 1:14) salah satu dari 12 kota yg disebut nabi Mikha, nama-namanya dihubungkan sebagai permainan kata dengan hukuman yg segera akan datang atasnya melalui penyerbuan. Kota Lakhis harus memberi hadiah perpisahan (atau hadiah pernikahan) kepada Moresyet-Gat ketika kota itu dirampas oleh musuh; bunyi nama moresyet hampir sama dengan bunyi me 'oreset, yg berarti 'bertunangan'.
