1 Raja-raja 2:42

2:42 the king summoned ¹  Shimei and said to him, “You will recall ²  that I made you take an oath by the Lord, and I solemnly warned you, ‘If you ever leave and go anywhere, ³  know for sure that you will certainly die.’ You said to me, ‘The proposal is acceptable; I agree to it.’ ⁴

8:64 That day the king consecrated the middle of the courtyard that is in front of the Lord’s temple. He offered there burnt sacrifices, grain offerings, and the fat from the peace offerings, because the bronze altar that stood before the Lord was too small to hold all these offerings. ⁵ 

1 Raja-raja 13:4

13:4 When the king heard what the prophet ⁶  cried out against the altar in Bethel, Jeroboam, standing at the altar, extended his hand ⁷  and ordered, ⁸  “Seize him!” The hand he had extended shriveled up ⁹  and he could not pull it back.

² tn Heb “Is it not [true]…?” In the Hebrew text the statement is interrogative; the rhetorical question expects the answer, “Of course it is.”
