1 Tawarikh 5:26

5:26 So the God of Israel stirred up ¹  King Pul of Assyria (that is, King Tiglath-pileser of Assyria), ²  and he carried away the Reubenites, Gadites, and half-tribe of Manasseh and took them to Halah, Habor, Hara, and the river of Gozan, where they remain to this very day.

1 Tawarikh 19:2

19:2 David said, “I will express my loyalty ³  to Hanun son of Nahash, for his father was loyal ⁴  to me.” So David sent messengers to express his sympathy over his father’s death. ⁵  When David’s servants entered Ammonite territory to visit Hanun and express the king’s sympathy, ⁶

² tn Heb “and the spirit of Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria.” “Pul” and “Tilgath-pilneser” were names of the same Assyrian ruler, more commonly known as Tiglath-pileser (cf. 2 Kgs 15:29).
