90:12 So teach us to consider our mortality, 3
so that we might live wisely. 4
10:16 “I 5 am sending you out like sheep surrounded by wolves, 6 so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.
16:1 Now I commend to you our sister Phoebe, who is a servant 7 of the church in Cenchrea,
1:19 For God 8 was pleased to have all his 9 fullness dwell 10 in the Son 11
1:20 and through him to reconcile all things to himself by making peace through the blood of his cross – through him, 12 whether things on earth or things in heaven.
1:21 And you were at one time strangers and enemies in your 13 minds 14 as expressed through 15 your evil deeds, 1:22 but now he has reconciled you 16 by his physical body through death to present you holy, without blemish, and blameless before him – 1:23 if indeed you remain in the faith, established and firm, 17 without shifting 18 from the hope of the gospel that you heard. This gospel has also been preached in all creation under heaven, and I, Paul, have become its servant.
1:24 Now I rejoice in my sufferings for you, and I fill up in my physical body – for the sake of his body, the church – what is lacking in the sufferings of Christ. 1:25 I became a servant of the church according to the stewardship 19 from God – given to me for you – in order to complete 20 the word of God,
5:15 Therefore be very careful how you live – not as unwise but as wise, 5:16 taking advantage of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 5:17 For this reason do not be foolish, but be wise 21 by understanding 22 what the Lord’s will is.
3:13 Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct he should show his works done in the gentleness that wisdom brings. 23
