18:29 So Pilate came outside to them and said, “What accusation

24:2 When Paul
3 had been summoned, Tertullus began to accuse him,
4 saying, “We have experienced a lengthy time
5 of peace through your rule,
6 and reforms
7 are being made in this nation
8 through your foresight.

24:3 Most excellent Felix,
10 we acknowledge this everywhere and in every way
11 with all gratitude.

24:4 But so that I may not delay
13 you any further, I beg
14 you to hear us briefly
15 with your customary graciousness.

24:5 For we have found
17 this man to be a troublemaker,
18 one who stirs up riots
19 among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader
20 of the sect of the Nazarenes.

24:6 He
22 even tried to desecrate
23 the temple, so we arrested
24 him.

24:8 When you examine
26 him yourself, you will be able to learn from him
27 about all these things we are accusing him of doing.”

24:9 The Jews also joined in the verbal attack,
29 claiming
30 that these things were true.
Paul’s Defense Before Felix
24:10 When the governor gestured for him to speak, Paul replied, “Because I know 31 that you have been a judge over this nation for many years, I confidently make my defense. 32
24:11 As you can verify 33 for yourself, not more than twelve days ago 34 I went up to Jerusalem 35 to worship.
24:12 They did not find me arguing 36 with anyone or stirring up a crowd 37 in the temple courts 38 or in the synagogues 39 or throughout the city, 40
24:13 nor can they prove 41 to you the things 42 they are accusing me of doing. 43
Kisah Para Rasul 25:16
25:16 I answered them
44 that it was not the custom of the Romans to hand over anyone
45 before the accused had met his accusers face to face

47 an opportunity to make a defense against the accusation.
