1:17 Zion spread out her hands,
but there is no one to comfort her.
The Lord has issued a decree against Jacob;
his neighbors 1 have become his enemies.
Jerusalem has become
like filthy garbage 2 in their midst. 3
2:34 Even your clothes are stained with
the lifeblood of the poor who had not done anything wrong;
you did not catch them breaking into your homes. 4
Yet, in spite of all these things you have done, 5
13:27 People of Jerusalem, 6 I have seen your adulterous worship,
your shameless prostitution to, and your lustful pursuit of, other gods. 7
I have seen your disgusting acts of worship 8
on the hills throughout the countryside.
You are doomed to destruction! 9
How long will you continue to be unclean?’”

Subject its rot to the fire! 12
24:13 You mix uncleanness with obscene conduct. 13
