Matius 3:14-17
3:14 But John
1 tried to prevent
2 him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and yet you come to me?”
3:15 So Jesus replied
3 to him, “Let it happen now,
4 for it is right for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then John
5 yielded
6 to him.
3:16 After
7 Jesus was baptized, just as he was coming up out of the water, the
8 heavens
9 opened
10 and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove
11 and coming on him.
3:17 And
12 a voice from heaven said,
13 “This is my one dear Son;
14 in him
15 I take great delight.”
