Markus 1:45

1:45 But as the man¹ went out he began to announce it publicly and spread the story widely, so that Jesus² was no longer able to enter any town openly but stayed outside in remote places. Still³ they kept coming⁴ to him from everywhere.

Markus 2:22

2:22 And no one pours new wine into old wineskins;⁵ otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the skins will be destroyed. Instead new wine is poured into new wineskins.”⁶

Markus 7:6

7:6 He said to them, “Isaiah prophesied correctly about you hypocrites, as it is written:

‘This people honors me with their lips,

but their heart⁷ is far from me.

9:12 He said to them, “Elijah does indeed come first, and restores all things. And why is it written that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be despised?

Markus 9:18

9:18 Whenever it seizes him, it throws him down, and he foams at the mouth, grinds his teeth, and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to cast it out, but⁸ they were not able to do so.”⁹

Markus 13:11

13:11 When they arrest you and hand you over for trial, do not worry about what to speak. But say whatever is given you at that time,¹⁰ for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
