6:7 It has no commander,
overseer, or 2 ruler,
6:8 yet it prepares its food in the summer;
it gathers at the harvest what it will eat. 3
13:1 A wise son accepts 4 his father’s discipline, 5
but a scoffer 6 does not listen to rebuke.
13:20 The one who associates 7 with the wise grows wise,
but a companion of fools suffers harm. 8
13:1 A wise son accepts 9 his father’s discipline, 10
but a scoffer 11 does not listen to rebuke.
1:1 From Paul, 12 an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,
6:1 Children, 13 obey your parents in the Lord 14 for this is right. 6:2 “Honor your father and mother,” 15 which is the first commandment accompanied by a promise, namely, 6:3 “that it may go 16 well with you and that you will live 17 a long time on the earth.” 18
