5:22 The wicked 1 will be captured by his 2 own iniquities, 3
and he will be held 4 by the cords of his own sin. 5
11:5 The righteousness of the blameless will make straight their way, 6
but the wicked person will fall by his own wickedness. 7
11:6 The righteousness of the upright will deliver them, 8
but the faithless will be captured 9 by their own desires. 10
12:13 The evil person is ensnared 11 by the transgression of his speech, 12
but the righteous person escapes out of trouble. 13
18:7 His vigorous steps 14 are restricted, 15
and his own counsel throws him down. 16
18:8 For he has been thrown into a net by his feet 17
and he wanders into a mesh. 18
18:9 A trap 19 seizes him by the heel;
a snare 20 grips him.
18:10 A rope is hidden for him 21 on the ground
and a trap for him 22 lies on the path.
11:6 May the Lord rain down 23 burning coals 24 and brimstone 25 on the wicked!
A whirlwind is what they deserve! 26
8:14 He will become a sanctuary, 27
but a stone that makes a person trip,
and a rock that makes one stumble –
to the two houses of Israel. 28
He will become 29 a trap and a snare
to the residents of Jerusalem. 30
8:15 Many will stumble over the stone and the rock, 31
and will fall and be seriously injured,
and will be ensnared and captured.”
2:1 But as for you, communicate the behavior that goes with 33 sound teaching.
