Yesaya 2:19

2:19 They¹ will go into caves in the rocky cliffs

and into holes in the ground,²

trying to escape the dreadful judgment of the Lord³

and his royal splendor,

when he rises up to terrify the earth.⁴

Yesaya 3:24

3:24 A putrid stench will replace the smell of spices,⁵

a rope will replace a belt,

baldness will replace braided locks of hair,

a sackcloth garment will replace a fine robe,

and a prisoner’s brand will replace beauty.

46:13 I am bringing my deliverance near, it is not far away;

I am bringing my salvation near,⁶ it does not wait.

I will save Zion;⁷

I will adorn Israel with my splendor.”⁸

65:22 No longer will they build a house only to have another live in it,⁹

or plant a vineyard only to have another eat its fruit,¹⁰

for my people will live as long as trees,¹¹
