1:27 Has my master the king authorized this without informing your servants ¹  who should succeed my master the king on his throne?” ²

14:3 Take ³  ten loaves of bread, some small cakes, and a container of honey and visit him. He will tell you what will happen to the boy.”

[1:27]  ¹ tc Many Hebrew mss and ancient textual witnesses agree with the Qere in reading this as singular, “your servant.”

[1:27]  ² tn Heb “From my master the king is this thing done, and you did not make known to your servants who will sit on the throne of my master the king after him?”

[14:3]  ³ tn Heb “take in your hand.”
