10:27 The king made silver as plentiful ¹  in Jerusalem as stones; cedar was ²  as plentiful as sycamore fig trees are in the lowlands. ³

12:31 He built temples ⁴  on the high places and appointed as priests people who were not Levites.

[10:27]  ² tn Heb “he made.”

[10:27]  ³ tn Heb “as the sycamore fig trees which are in the Shephelah.”

[12:31]  ⁴ tn The Hebrew text has the singular, but the plural is preferable here (see 1 Kgs 13:32). The Old Greek translation and the Vulgate have the plural.
