The Lord Gives Solomon Wisdom

1:1 Solomon son of David solidified his royal authority, ¹  for ²  the Lord his God was with him and magnified him greatly.

2 Tawarikh 6:1

6:1 Then Solomon said, “The Lord has said that he lives in thick darkness.

6:11 and set up in it a place for the ark containing the covenant the Lord made with the Israelites.”

Because of this sinful activity, God was angry with Judah and Jerusalem. 24:19 The Lord sent prophets among them to lead them back to him. ⁸  They warned ⁹  the people, but they would not pay attention.

29:10 Now I intend ¹⁰  to make a covenant with the Lord God of Israel, so that he may relent from his raging anger. ¹¹
