The Building of the Temple

3:1 Solomon began building the Lord’s temple in Jerusalem ³  on Mount Moriah, where the Lord had appeared to his father David. This was the place that David prepared at the threshing floor of Ornan ⁴  the Jebusite.

2 Tawarikh 6:4

6:4 He said, “The Lord God of Israel is worthy of praise because he has fulfilled ⁵  what he promised ⁶  my father David.

2 Tawarikh 6:34

6:34 “When you direct your people to march out and fight their enemies, ⁷  and they direct their prayers to you toward this chosen city and this temple I built for your honor, ⁸ 

2 Tawarikh 8:11

8:11 Solomon moved Pharaoh’s daughter up from the City of David ⁹  to the palace he had built for her, for he said, “My wife must not live in the palace of King David of Israel, for the places where the ark of the Lord has entered are holy.”

2 Tawarikh 35:18

35:18 A Passover like this had not been observed in Israel since the days of Samuel the prophet. None of the kings of Israel had observed a Passover like the one celebrated by Josiah, the priests, the Levites, all the people of Judah and Israel who were there, and the residents of Jerusalem.
