12:1 After Rehoboam’s rule was established and solidified, he and all Israel rejected the law of the Lord.

2 Tawarikh 13:17

13:17 Abijah and his army thoroughly defeated them; ¹  500,000 well-trained Israelite men fell dead. ² 

2 Tawarikh 14:4

14:4 He ordered Judah to seek the Lord God of their ancestors ³  and to observe his law and commands. ⁴ 

2 Tawarikh 17:5

17:5 The Lord made his kingdom secure; ⁵  all Judah brought tribute to Jehoshaphat, and he became very wealthy and greatly respected. ⁶ 

2 Tawarikh 21:11

21:11 He also built high places on the hills of Judah; he encouraged the residents of Jerusalem to be unfaithful to the Lord ⁷  and led Judah away from the Lord. ⁸ 

2 Tawarikh 21:14

21:14 So look, the Lord is about to severely afflict ⁹  your people, your sons, your wives, and all you own.

[13:17]  ¹ tn Heb “struck them down with a great striking down.”

[13:17]  ² tn Heb “and [the] slain from Israel fell, five hundred thousand chosen men.”

[14:4]  ³ tn Heb “fathers.”

[14:4]  ⁴ tn Heb “the law and the command.”

[17:5]  ⁵ tn Heb “established the kingdom in his hand.”

[17:5]  ⁶ tn Heb “and he had wealth and honor in abundance.”

[21:11]  ⁷ tn Heb “and he caused the residents of Jerusalem to commit adultery.” In this context spiritual unfaithfulness to the Lord is in view rather than physical adultery.

[21:11]  ⁸ tn Heb “and drove Judah away.”

[21:14]  ⁹ tn Heb “to strike with a great striking.”
