2 Tawarikh 24:19

24:19 The Lord sent prophets among them to lead them back to him. ¹  They warned ²  the people, but they would not pay attention.

Mazmur 78:8

78:8 Then they will not be like their ancestors,

who were a stubborn and rebellious generation,

a generation that was not committed

and faithful to God. ³ 

Yeremia 6:17

6:17 The Lord said, ⁴ 

“I appointed prophets as watchmen to warn you, ⁵  saying:

‘Pay attention to the warning sound of the trumpet!’” ⁶ 

But they said, “We will not pay attention!”

Yeremia 17:23
