32:6 He appointed military officers over the army ¹  and assembled them in the square at the city gate. He encouraged them, ²  saying,

Hezekiah’s Shortcomings and Accomplishments

32:24 In those days Hezekiah was stricken with a terminal illness. ³  He prayed to the Lord, who answered him and gave him a sign confirming that he would be healed. ⁴ 

2 Tawarikh 34:2

34:2 He did what the Lord approved ⁵  and followed in his ancestor David’s footsteps; ⁶  he did not deviate to the right or the left.

[32:24]  ³ tn Heb “was sick to the point of dying.”

[32:24]  ⁴ tn Heb “and he spoke to him and a sign he gave to him.”

[34:2]  ⁵ tn Heb “he did what was proper in the eyes of the Lord.”

[34:2]  ⁶ tn Heb “and walked in the ways of David his father.”
