TB NETBible YUN-IBR Ref. Silang Nama Gambar Himne

2 Tawarikh 4:6

Konteks
4:6 He made ten washing basins; he put five on the south side and five on the north side. In them they rinsed the items used for burnt sacrifices; the priests washed in “The Sea.”

2 Tawarikh 7:7

Konteks
7:7 Solomon consecrated the middle of the courtyard that is in front of the Lord’s temple. He offered burnt sacrifices, grain offerings, 1  and the fat from the peace offerings there, because the bronze altar that Solomon had made was too small to hold all these offerings. 2

2 Tawarikh 29:21

Konteks
29:21 They brought seven bulls, seven rams, seven lambs, and seven goats as a sin offering for the kingdom, the sanctuary, and Judah. 3  The king 4  told the priests, the descendants of Aaron, to offer burnt sacrifices on the altar of the Lord.

2 Tawarikh 29:24

Konteks
29:24 Then the priests slaughtered them. They offered their blood as a sin offering on the altar to make atonement for all Israel, because the king had decreed 5  that the burnt sacrifice and sin offering were for all Israel.

2 Tawarikh 29:31

Konteks
29:31 Hezekiah said, “Now you have consecrated yourselves 6  to the Lord. Come and bring sacrifices and thank offerings 7  to the Lord’s temple.” So the assembly brought sacrifices and thank offerings, and whoever desired to do so 8  brought burnt sacrifices.

2 Tawarikh 29:34

Konteks
29:34 But there were not enough priests to skin all the animals, 9  so their brothers, the Levites, helped them until the work was finished and the priests could consecrate themselves. (The Levites had been more conscientious about consecrating themselves than the priests.) 10

2 Tawarikh 30:24

Konteks
30:24 King Hezekiah of Judah supplied 1,000 bulls and 7,000 sheep 11  for the assembly, while the officials supplied them 12  with 1,000 bulls and 10,000 sheep. Many priests consecrated themselves.

2 Tawarikh 35:7

Konteks

35:7 From his own royal flocks and herds, Josiah supplied the people with 30,000 lambs and goats for the Passover sacrifice, as well as 3,000 cattle. 13

2 Tawarikh 35:12

Konteks
35:12 They reserved the burnt offerings and the cattle for the family divisions of the people to present to the Lord, as prescribed in the scroll of Moses. 14

2 Tawarikh 35:14

Konteks
35:14 Afterward they made preparations for themselves and for the priests, because the priests, the descendants of Aaron, were offering burnt sacrifices and fat portions until evening. The Levites made preparations for themselves and for the priests, the descendants of Aaron.

[7:7]  1 tc The Hebrew text omits reference to the grain offerings at this point, but note that they are included both in the list in the second half of the verse (see note on “offerings” at the end of this verse) and in the parallel account in 1 Kgs 8:64. The construction וְאֶת־הַמִּנְחָה (vÿet-hamminkhah; vav [ו] + accusative sign + noun with article; “grain offerings”) was probably omitted accidentally by homoioarcton. Note the וְאֶת (vÿet) that immediately follows.

[7:7]  2 tn Heb “to hold the burnt sacrifices, grain offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings.” Because this is redundant, the translation employs a summary phrase: “all these offerings.”

[29:21]  3 sn Perhaps these terms refer metonymically to the royal court, the priests and Levites, and the people, respectively.

[29:21]  4 tn Heb “he”; the referent (the king) has been specified in the translation for clarity.

[29:24]  5 tn Heb “said.”

[29:31]  6 tn Heb “filled your hand.”

[29:31]  7 tn Or “tokens of thanks.”

[29:31]  8 tn Heb “and all who were willing of heart.”

[29:34]  9 tn Heb “the burnt sacrifices.”

[29:34]  10 tn Heb “for the Levites were more pure of heart to consecrate themselves than the priests.”

[30:24]  11 tn The Hebrew term צֹאן (tson, translated “sheep” twice in this verse) denotes smaller livestock in general; depending on context it can refer to sheep only or goats only, but their is nothing in the immediate context here to specify one or the other.

[30:24]  12 tn Heb “the assembly.” The pronoun “them” has been used in the translation for stylistic reasons, to avoid redundancy.

[35:7]  13 tn Heb “and Josiah supplied for the sons of the people sheep, lambs and sons of goats, the whole for the Passover sacrifices for everyone who was found according to the number of thirty thousand, and three thousand cattle. These were from the property of the king.”

[35:12]  14 tn Heb “and they put aside the burnt offering[s] to give them to the divisions of the house of the fathers for the sons of the people to bring near to the Lord as it is written in the scroll of Moses – and the same with the cattle.”
