5:14 The priests could not carry out their duties ¹  because of the cloud; the Lord’s splendor filled God’s temple.

2 Tawarikh 7:6

7:6 The priests stood in their assigned spots, along with the Levites who had the musical instruments used for praising the Lord. ²  (These were the ones King David made for giving thanks to the Lord and which were used by David when he offered praise, saying, “Certainly his loyal love endures.”) ³  Opposite the Levites, ⁴  the priests were blowing the trumpets, while all Israel stood there.

12:6 The leaders of Israel and the king humbled themselves and said, “The Lord is just.” ⁵ 

2 Tawarikh 34:30

34:30 The king went up to the Lord’s temple, accompanied by all the people of Judah, the residents of Jerusalem, the priests, and the Levites. All the people were there, from the oldest to the youngest. He read aloud all the words of the scroll of the covenant that had been discovered in the Lord’s temple.

[7:6]  ² tn Heb “and the priests were standing at their posts, and the Levites with the instruments of music of the Lord.”

[7:6]  ³ tn Heb “which David the king made to give thanks to the Lord, for lasting is his loyal love, when David praised by them.”

[7:6]  ⁴ tn Heb “opposite them”; the referent (the Levites) has been specified in the translation for clarity.

[12:6]  ⁵ tn Or “fair,” meaning the Lord’s punishment of them was just or fair.
