He stood on it and then got down on his knees in front of the entire assembly of Israel. He spread out his hands toward the sky,

26:19 Uzziah, who had an incense censer in his hand, became angry. While he was ranting and raving 4  at the priests, a skin disease 5  appeared on his forehead right there in front of the priests in the Lord’s temple near the incense altar.

32:9 Afterward King Sennacherib of Assyria, while attacking Lachish with all his military might, sent his messengers 6  to Jerusalem. The message was for King Hezekiah of Judah and all the people of 7  Judah who were in Jerusalem. It read:

[6:13]  1 tn Heb “five cubits.” Assuming a cubit of 18 inches (45 cm), the length would have been 7.5 feet (2.25 m).

[6:13]  3 tn Heb “three cubits.” Assuming a cubit of 18 inches (45 cm), the height would have been 4.5 feet (1.35 m).

[26:19]  4 tn Heb “angry.”

[26:19]  5 tn Traditionally “leprosy,” but this was probably a skin disorder of some type, not leprosy (technically known today as Hansen’s disease). See 2 Kgs 5:1.

[32:9]  6 tn Heb “servants.”

[32:9]  7 tn Heb “all Judah.” The words “the people of” are supplied in the translation for clarity. The Hebrew text uses the name “Judah” here by metonymy for the people of Judah.
