The Lord Gives Solomon a Promise and a Warning

7:11 After Solomon finished building the Lord’s temple and the royal palace, and accomplished all his plans for the Lord’s temple and his royal palace, ¹

23:3 and the whole assembly made a covenant with the king in the temple of God. Jehoiada ³  said to them, “The king’s son will rule, just as the Lord promised David’s descendants.

23:7 The Levites must surround the king. Each of you must hold his weapon in his hand. Whoever tries to enter the temple ⁴  must be killed. You must accompany the king wherever he goes.” ⁵

35:13 They cooked the Passover sacrifices over the open fire as prescribed and cooked the consecrated offerings in pots, kettles, and pans. They quickly served them to all the people.
