7:18 Then I will establish your dynasty, ¹  just as I promised your father David, ‘You will not fail to have a successor ruling over Israel.’ ²

34:32 He made all who were in Jerusalem and Benjamin agree to it. ¹¹  The residents of Jerusalem acted in accordance with the covenant of God, the God of their ancestors.

35:13 They cooked the Passover sacrifices over the open fire as prescribed and cooked the consecrated offerings in pots, kettles, and pans. They quickly served them to all the people.

36:14 All the leaders of the priests and people became more unfaithful and committed the same horrible sins practiced by the nations. ¹²  They defiled the Lord’s temple which he had consecrated in Jerusalem.
