Amsal 4:6
Konteks4:6 Do not forsake wisdom, 1 and she will protect you;
love her, and she will guard you.
Yohanes 3:17-19
Konteks3:17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, 2 but that the world should be saved through him. 3:18 The one who believes in him is not condemned. 3 The one who does not believe has been condemned 4 already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only 5 Son of God. 3:19 Now this is the basis for judging: 6 that the light has come into the world and people 7 loved the darkness rather than the light, because their deeds were evil.
[4:6] 1 tn Heb “her”; the 3rd person feminine singular referent is personified “wisdom,” which has been specified in the translation for clarity.
[3:17] 2 sn That is, “to judge the world to be guilty and liable to punishment.”
[3:18] 5 tn See the note on the term “one and only” in 3:16.
[3:19] 6 tn Or “this is the reason for God judging,” or “this is how judgment works.”
[3:19] 7 tn Grk “and men,” but in a generic sense, referring to people of both genders (as “everyone” in v. 20 makes clear).
