Ayub 24:15

24:15 And the eye of the adulterer watches for the twilight,

thinking, ¹  ‘No eye can see me,’

and covers his face with a mask.

Ayub 24:17

24:17 For all of them, ²  the morning is to them

like deep darkness;

they are friends with the terrors of darkness.

Ayub 24:19

24:19 The drought as well as the heat carry away

the melted snow; ³ 

so the grave ⁴  takes away those who have sinned. ⁵ 

[24:15]  ¹ tn Heb “saying.”

[24:17]  ² tn Heb “together.”

[24:19]  ³ tn Heb “the waters of the snow.”

[24:19]  ⁴ tn Or “so Sheol.”

[24:19]  ⁵ tn This is the meaning of the verse, which in Hebrew only has “The grave / they have sinned.”
