Daniel 1:17

1:17 Now as for these four young men, God endowed them with knowledge and skill in all sorts of literature and wisdom – and Daniel had insight into all kinds of visions and dreams.

Daniel 2:11

2:11 What the king is asking is too difficult, and no one exists who can disclose it to the king, except for the gods – but they don’t live among mortals!” ¹ 

Daniel 3:26

3:26 Then Nebuchadnezzar approached the door of the furnace of blazing fire. He called out, ²  “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the most high God, come out! Come here!”

Daniel 5:3

5:3 So they brought the gold and silver ⁴  vessels that had been confiscated from the temple, the house of God ⁵  in Jerusalem, and the king and his nobles, together with his wives and concubines, drank from them.

Daniel 7:16

7:16 I approached one of those standing nearby and asked him about the meaning ⁸  of all this. So he spoke with me and revealed ⁹  to me the interpretation of the vision: ¹⁰ 

Daniel 11:32

11:32 Then with smooth words he will defile ¹¹  those who have rejected ¹²  the covenant. But the people who are loyal to ¹³  their God will act valiantly. ¹⁴

in the dusty ground will awake –

some to everlasting life,

[5:3]  ⁵ tn Aram “the temple of the house of God.” The phrase seems rather awkward. The Vulgate lacks “of the house of God,” while Theodotion and the Syriac lack “the house.”

[11:32]  ¹⁴ sn This is an allusion to the Maccabean revolt, which struggled to bring about Jewish independence in the second century B.C.

[12:2]  ¹⁵ sn This verse is the only undisputed reference to a literal resurrection found in the Hebrew Bible.
