5:20 And when his mind ¹  became arrogant ²  and his spirit filled with pride, he was deposed from his royal throne and his honor was removed from him.

Daniel 11:11

11:11 “Then the king of the south ³  will be enraged and will march out to fight against the king of the north, who will also muster a large army, but that army will be delivered into his hand.

[5:20]  ² sn The point of describing Nebuchadnezzar as arrogant is that he had usurped divine prerogatives, and because of his immense arrogance God had dealt decisively with him.
