1:25 He showed them a secret entrance into the city, and they put the city to the sword. But they let the man and his extended family leave safely.

Hakim-hakim 2:10

2:10 That entire generation passed away; ¹  a new generation grew up ²  that had not personally experienced the Lord’s presence or seen what he had done for Israel. ³ 

Hakim-hakim 9:3

9:3 His mother’s relatives ⁴  spoke on his behalf to ⁵  all the leaders of Shechem and reported his proposal. ⁶  The leaders were drawn to Abimelech; ⁷  they said, “He is our close relative.” ⁸

20:34 Ten thousand men, well-trained soldiers from all Israel, then made a frontal assault against Gibeah – the battle was fierce. ¹³  But the Benjaminites did not realize that disaster was at their doorstep. ¹⁴

20:40 But when the signal, a pillar of smoke, began to rise up from the city, the Benjaminites turned around and saw the whole city going up in a cloud of smoke that rose high into the sky. ¹⁵
