The End of an Era

2:6 When Joshua dismissed ¹  the people, the Israelites went to their allotted portions of territory, ²  intending to take possession of the land.

Hakim-hakim 5:9

5:9 My heart went out ³  to Israel’s leaders,

to the people who answered the call to war.

Hakim-hakim 21:9

21:9 When they took roll call, ⁴  they noticed ⁵  none of the inhabitants of Jabesh Gilead were there.

Hakim-hakim 21:15

21:15 The people regretted what had happened to ⁶  Benjamin because the Lord had weakened ⁷  the Israelite tribes.
