[9:30]  1 tn Heb “his anger burned.”

[10:12]  2 tc The translation follows the LXX which reads “Midian”; the Hebrew text has “Maon.”

[10:12]  3 tn The words “Did I not deliver you” are interpretive. The Hebrew text simply reads, “Is it not from Egypt…when they oppressed you?” Perhaps the incomplete sentence reflects the Lord’s frustration.

[10:12]  4 tn Heb “hand.”

[13:21]  5 tn Heb “Then Manoah knew that he was the Lord’s messenger.”

[14:11]  6 tn Heb “When they saw him, they gave him thirty companions and they were with him.” Instead of כִּרְאוֹתָם (kirotam, “when they saw”) some ancient witnesses (e.g., some mss of the LXX) assume the reading בְּיִרְאָתָם (bÿyiratam, “because they feared”).

[17:11]  7 tn Heb “the young man became like one of his sons.”

[18:6]  8 tn Heb “in peace.”

[18:6]  9 tn Heb “In front of the LORD is your way in which you are going.”

[18:21]  10 tn Heb “They turned and went and put the children, the cattle, and the possessions in front of them.”

[20:7]  11 tn Heb “Look, all of you sons of Israel.”

[20:7]  12 tn Heb “give for yourselves a word and advice here.”
