[30:23]  1 tn Heb “and he will give rain for your seed which you plant in the ground, and food [will be] the produce of the ground, and it will be rich and abundant.”

[30:23]  2 tn Or “in that day” (KJV).

[28:23]  3 tc The MT reads “Your.” The LXX reads “Heaven will be to you.”

[28:23]  4 tn Or “heavens” (also in the following verse). The Hebrew term שָׁמַיִם (shamayim) may be translated “heaven(s)” or “sky” depending on the context.

[4:7]  5 sn Rain…three months before the harvest refers to the rains of late March-early April.

[4:7]  6 tn Heb “portion”; KJV, ASV “piece”; NASB “part.” The same word occurs a second time later in this verse.

[14:16]  7 sn Having imposed his sovereignty over the earth following the Battle of Armageddon, the Lord will receive homage and tribute from all who survive from all the nations. The Feast of Tabernacles was especially associated with covenant institution and renewal so it will be appropriate for all people to acknowledge that they are vassals to the Lord at that time (cf. Deut 31:9-13; Neh 8:12-18; 9:1-38).

[14:17]  8 sn The reference to any…who refuse to go up to Jerusalem makes clear the fact that the nations are by no means “converted” to the Lord but are under his compulsory domination.

[6:6]  9 tn Or “have fallen away.”

[6:6]  10 tn Or “while”; Grk “crucifying…and holding.” The Greek participles here (“crucifying…and holding”) can be understood as either causal (“since”) or temporal (“while”).

[6:6]  11 tn Grk “recrucifying the son of God for themselves.”

[6:7]  12 tn Grk “comes upon.”

[6:8]  13 tn Grk “near to a curse.”

[11:6]  14 tn Or “authority.”

[11:6]  15 tn Grk “the days.”

[11:6]  16 tn Because of the length and complexity of the Greek sentence, a new sentence was started here in the translation. Here καί (kai) has not been translated because of differences between Greek and English style.

[11:6]  17 tn Or “authority.”
