Lukas 1:44

1:44 For the instant ¹  the sound of your greeting reached my ears, ²  the baby in my womb leaped for joy. ³

14:11 For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but ⁴  the one who humbles ⁵  himself will be exalted.”

[1:44]  ³ sn On the statement the baby in my womb leaped for joy see both 1:14 and 1:47. This notes a fulfillment of God’s promised word.

[14:11]  ⁴ tn Here καί (kai) has been translated as “but” to indicate the contrast present in this context, which involves the reversal of expected roles.
