15:26 So ¹  he called one of the slaves ²  and asked what was happening.

Matius 21:10-11

21:10 As he entered Jerusalem the whole city was thrown into an uproar, ³  saying, “Who is this?” 21:11 And the crowds were saying, “This is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth ⁴  in Galilee.”

[15:26]  ¹ tn Here καί (kai) has been translated as “so” to indicate the result of the older son hearing the noise of the celebration in progress.

[15:26]  ² tn The Greek term here, παῖς (pais), describes a slave, possibly a household servant regarded with some affection (L&N 87.77).

[21:10]  ³ tn Grk “was shaken.” The translation “thrown into an uproar” is given by L&N 25.233.
