20:46 “Beware ¹  of the experts in the law. ²  They ³  like walking around in long robes, and they love elaborate greetings ⁴  in the marketplaces and the best seats ⁵  in the synagogues ⁶  and the places of honor at banquets.

22:47 While he was still speaking, suddenly a crowd appeared, ⁷  and the man named Judas, one of the twelve, was leading them. He walked up ⁸  to Jesus to kiss him. ⁹

23:14 and said to them, “You brought me this man as one who was misleading ¹⁰  the people. When I examined him before you, I ¹¹  did not find this man guilty ¹²  of anything you accused him of doing.

[22:47]  ⁹ tc Many mss (D Θ Ë¹³ 700 pm as well as several versional mss) add here, “for this is the sign he gave to them: Whoever I kiss is [the one].” This addition is almost certainly not original, since most of the important mss lack it. It may be a copyist’s attempt to clarify the text, or the accidental inclusion of a marginal gloss.
