Lukas 21:23

21:23 Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing their babies in those days! For there will be great distress ¹  on the earth and wrath against this people.

24:35 Then they told what had happened on the road, ²  and how they recognized him ³  when he broke the bread.

[24:35]  ³ tn Grk “how he was made known to them”; or “how he was recognized by them.” Here the passive construction has been converted to an active one in the translation in keeping with contemporary English style.
