19:11 “‘You must not steal, you must not tell lies, and you must not deal falsely with your fellow citizen. ³

8:16 These are the things you must do: Speak the truth, each of you, to one another. Practice true and righteous judgment in your courts. ⁴

3:9 Do not lie to one another since you have put off the old man with its practices

[15:2]  ² tn Heb “one who speaks truth in his heart”; or “one who speaks truth [that is] in his heart.” This apparently refers to formulating a truthful statement in one’s mind and then honestly revealing that statement in one’s speech.
