Mazmur 86:9

86:9 All the nations, whom you created,

will come and worship you, ¹  O Lord.

They will honor your name.

Yesaya 12:4

12:4 At that time ²  you will say:

“Praise the Lord!

Ask him for help! ³ 

Publicize his mighty acts among the nations!

Make it known that he is unique! ⁴ 

Zefanya 3:9

3:9 Know for sure that I will then enable

the nations to give me acceptable praise. ⁵ 

All of them will invoke the Lord’s name when they pray, ⁶ 

and will worship him in unison. ⁷ 

[86:9]  ¹ tn Or “bow down before you.”

[12:4]  ² tn Or “in that day” (KJV).

[12:4]  ³ tn Heb “call in his name,” i.e., “invoke his name.”

[12:4]  ⁴ tn Heb “bring to remembrance that his name is exalted.” The Lord’s “name” stands here for his character and reputation.

[3:9]  ⁵ tn Heb “Certainly [or perhaps, “For”] then I will restore to the nations a pure lip.”

[3:9]  sn I will then enable the nations to give me acceptable praise. This apparently refers to a time when the nations will reject their false idol-gods and offer genuine praise to the one true God.

[3:9]  ⁶ tn Heb “so that all of them will call on the name of the Lord.”

[3:9]  ⁷ tn Heb “so that [they] will serve him [with] one shoulder.”
