Markus 12:25

12:25 For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels ¹  in heaven.

Markus 13:25

13:25 the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. ² 

[12:25]  ¹ sn Angels do not die, nor do they eat according to Jewish tradition (1 En. 15:6; 51:4; Wis 5:5; 2 Bar. 51:10; 1QH 3.21-23).

[13:25]  ² sn An allusion to Isa 13:10, 34:4 (LXX); Joel 2:10. The heavens were seen as the abode of heavenly forces, so their shaking indicates distress in the spiritual realm. Although some take the powers as a reference to bodies in the heavens (like stars and planets, “the heavenly bodies,” NIV) this is not as likely.
