104:27 All of your creatures ¹  wait for you

to provide them with food on a regular basis. ² 

Mazmur 9:18

9:18 for the needy are not permanently ignored, ³ 

the hopes of the oppressed are not forever dashed. ⁴ 

[104:27]  ¹ tn Heb “All of them.” The pronoun “them” refers not just to the sea creatures mentioned in vv. 25-26, but to all living things (see v. 24). This has been specified in the translation as “all of your creatures” for clarity.

[104:27]  ² tn Heb “to give their food in its time.”

[9:18]  ³ tn Or “forgotten.”

[9:18]  ⁴ tn Heb “the hope of the afflicted does [not] perish forever.” The negative particle is understood by ellipsis; note the preceding line. The imperfect verbal forms express what typically happens.
