14:3 Everyone rejects God; ¹ 

they are all morally corrupt. ² 

None of them does what is right, ³ 

not even one!

Mazmur 15:3

15:3 He ⁴  does not slander, ⁵ 

or do harm to others, ⁶ 

or insult his neighbor. ⁷ 

Mazmur 37:9

37:9 Wicked men ⁸  will be wiped out, ⁹ 

but those who rely on the Lord are the ones who will possess the land. ¹⁰ 

Mazmur 53:3

[14:3]  ³ tn Heb “there is none that does good.”

[15:3]  ⁴ sn Hebrew literature often assumes and reflects the male-oriented perspective of ancient Israelite society. The principle of the psalm is certainly applicable to all people, regardless of their gender or age.

[15:3]  ⁷ tn Heb “and he does not lift up an insult against one who is near to him.”

[37:9]  ⁸ tn Heb “for evil men.” The conjunction כִּי (ki, “for”) relates to the exhortations in v. 8; there is no reason to be frustrated, for the evildoers will be punished in due time.
