[21:11]  1 tn Or “for.”

[21:11]  2 tn Heb “they extend against you harm.” The perfect verbal forms in v. 11 are taken as generalizing, stating factually what the king’s enemies typically do. Another option is to translate with the past tense (“they intended…planned”).

[21:11]  3 sn See Ps 10:2.

[21:11]  4 tn Heb “they lack ability.”

[90:17]  5 tn Heb “and may the delight of the Master, our God, be on us.” The Hebrew term נֹעַם (noam, “delight”) is used in Ps 27:4 of the Lord’s “beauty,” but here it seems to refer to his favor (see BDB 653 s.v.) or kindness (HALOT 706 s.v.).

[90:17]  6 tn Heb “and the work of our hands establish over us, and the work of our hands, establish it.”

[104:13]  7 tn Heb “from his upper rooms.”

[104:13]  8 tn Heb “from the fruit of your works the earth is full.” The translation assumes that “fruit” is literal here. If “fruit” is understood more abstractly as “product; result,” then one could translate, “the earth flourishes as a result of your deeds” (cf. NIV, NRSV, REB).
