[22:31]  1 tn Heb “his righteousness.” Here the noun צִדָקָה (tsidaqah) refers to the Lord’s saving deeds whereby he vindicates the oppressed.

[22:31]  2 tn Heb “to a people [to be] born that he has acted.” The words “they will tell” are supplied in the translation for stylistic reasons.

[64:9]  3 tc Many medieval Hebrew mss read וַיִּרְאוּ (vayyiru, “and they will see”) instead of וַיִּירְאוּ (vayyirÿu, “and they will proclaim”).

[64:9]  4 tn Heb “the work of God,” referring to the judgment described in v. 7.

[77:11]  5 tn Heb “yes, I will remember from old your wonders.”

[77:11]  sn The psalmist refuses to allow skepticism to win out. God has revealed himself to his people in tangible, incontrovertible ways in the past and the psalmist vows to remember the historical record as a source of hope for the future.

[78:11]  6 tn Heb “his deeds.”

[86:8]  7 tn Heb “and there are none like your acts.”

[111:1]  8 sn Psalm 111. The psalmist praises God for his marvelous deeds, especially the way in which he provides for and delivers his people. The psalm is an acrostic. After the introductory call to praise, every poetic line (twenty-two in all) begins with a successive letter of the Hebrew alphabet.
