[32:3]  1 tn Heb “when I was silent.”

[32:3]  2 tn Heb “my bones became brittle.” The psalmist pictures himself as aging and growing physically weak. Trying to cover up his sin brought severe physical consequences.

[71:8]  3 tn Heb “my mouth is filled [with] your praise, all the day [with] your splendor.”

[90:12]  4 tn Heb “to number our days,” that is, to be aware of how few they really are.

[90:12]  5 tn Heb “and we will bring a heart of wisdom.” After the imperative of the preceding line, the prefixed verbal form with the conjunction indicates purpose/result. The Hebrew term “heart” here refers to the center of one’s thoughts, volition, and moral character.

[118:24]  6 tn Heb “this is the day the Lord has made.” Though sometimes applied in a general way, this statement in its context refers to the day of deliverance which the psalmist and people celebrate.
