[61:2]  1 tn Heb “from the end of the earth.” This may indicate (1) the psalmist is exiled in a distant land, or (2) it may be hyperbolic (the psalmist feels alienated from God’s presence, as if he were in a distant land).

[61:2]  2 tn Heb “while my heart faints.”

[61:2]  3 tn The imperfect verbal form here expresses the psalmist’s wish or prayer.

[61:2]  4 tn Heb “on to a rocky summit [that] is higher than I.”

[13:2]  5 tn Heb “How long will I put counsel in my being?”

[13:2]  6 tn Heb “[with] grief in my heart by day.”

[13:2]  7 tn Heb “be exalted over me.” Perhaps one could translate, “How long will my enemy defeat me?”

[27:6]  8 tn Heb “and now my head will be lifted up over my enemies all around me.”

[27:6]  sn In vv. 1-3 the psalmist generalizes, but here we discover that he is facing a crisis and is under attack from enemies (see vv. 11-12).

[27:6]  9 tn Heb “I will sacrifice in his tent sacrifices of a shout for joy” (that is, “sacrifices accompanied by a joyful shout”).
