106:1 Praise the Lord!

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good,

and his loyal love endures! ²

Praise God in his sanctuary!

Praise him in the sky, which testifies to his strength! ⁴ 

Wahyu 19:3-4

19:3 Then ⁵  a second time the crowd shouted, “Hallelujah!” The smoke rises from her forever and ever. ⁶  19:4 The twenty-four elders and the four living creatures threw themselves to the ground ⁷  and worshiped God, who was seated on the throne, saying: “Amen! Hallelujah!”

[106:1]  ¹ sn Psalm 106. The psalmist recalls Israel’s long history of rebellion against God, despite his mighty saving deeds on their behalf.

[150:1]  ³ sn Psalm 150. The Psalter concludes with a resounding call for praise from everything that has breath.
