3:9 What then? Are we better off? Certainly not, for we have already charged that Jews and Greeks alike are all under sin,

Submission to Civil Government

13:1 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except by God’s appointment, ¹¹  and the authorities that exist have been instituted by God.

[10:18]  ⁹ tn Here the particle μενοῦνγε (menounge) is correcting the negative response expected by the particle μή (mh) in the preceding question. Since the question has been translated positively, the translation was changed here to reflect that rendering.
