Ulangan 1:25

1:25 Then they took ¹  some of the produce of the land and carried it back down to us. They also brought a report to us, saying, “The land that the Lord our God is about to give us is good.”

Ulangan 15:11

15:11 There will never cease to be some poor people in the land; therefore, I am commanding you to make sure you open ²  your hand to your fellow Israelites ³  who are needy and poor in your land.

Ulangan 33:9

33:9 He said to his father and mother, “I have not seen him,” ⁴ 

and he did not acknowledge his own brothers

or know his own children,

for they kept your word,

and guarded your covenant.

[15:11]  ² tn The Hebrew text uses the infinitive absolute for emphasis, which the translation indicates with “make sure.”

[33:9]  ⁴ sn This statement no doubt alludes to the Levites’ destruction of their own fellow tribesmen following the golden calf incident (Exod 32:25-29).
