2:5 Do not be hostile toward them, because I am not giving you any of their land, not even a footprint, for I have given Mount Seir ¹  as an inheritance for Esau.

[15:16]  ² tn Heb “he”; the referent (the indentured servant introduced in v. 12) has been specified in the translation for clarity.

[15:16]  ³ tn Heb “go out from.” The imperfect verbal form indicates the desire of the subject here.

[18:12]  ⁴ tn Heb “these abhorrent things.” The repetition is emphatic. For stylistic reasons, to avoid redundancy, the same term used earlier in the verse has been translated “detestable” here.

[18:12]  ⁵ tn The translation understands the Hebrew participial form as having an imminent future sense here.
