The Opening Exhortation

5:1 Then Moses called all the people of Israel together and said to them: ¹  “Listen, Israel, to the statutes and ordinances that I am about to deliver to you today; learn them and be careful to keep them!

Ulangan 33:19

33:19 They will summon peoples to the mountain,

there they will sacrifice proper ²  sacrifices;

for they will enjoy ³  the abundance of the seas,

and the hidden treasures of the shores. ⁴
